Visions of Childhood

One movie that really depicts childhood in my mind would be Sandlot. This movie shows childhood as being fun and getting in trouble with no consequences. Since they're kids, all they do is play baseball and find other miscellaneous activities to do. It also shows that your dream as a child can come real. For example, Benny the Jet goes onto the pros to play baseball. It tells a story about childhood memories and how fun they were, especially the getting in trouble part.

In the four stories that we have read, they depict childhood as fun but also scary. A couple stories showed a more scary side to childhood like having alcoholic parents or being home alone and having a random person show up. The differences are the backgrounds of the stories and the similarities are the problems that kids have to face. The authors are saying that childhood isn't all that easy and they are pretty much in the ballpark because everyone has a different childhood whether it's good or bad. Kids don't always understand everything which the authors also got right too.

Childhood Memory

When I was a youngen, I grew up when I had to start doing stuff on my own like doing chores, finishing my homework, and stuff without being told. My parents weren't doing as many things for me as they use to so I had to grow and and take things under my own consideration. Even though sometimes I don't do everything, I still take things in consideration that should be done. I think this helped me grow up the most.
