I think that a great movie setting would be Saving Private Ryan. This movie is based on the invasion of Normandy during World War II. Right away in the movie is a very intense, gory scene where there is an assult on the Omaha Beach. This movie's setting shows what war was really like. The true emotions of the soldiers come out in the setting. I think that this is very unique because many people don't know what they had to go through. Especially when one group of men have to fight there way to save one man, Private Ryan. The director also got many social issues across with this movie. Since it's based on war, many people have different views about it. This movie is very different because it was said that if you watched it, you could become depressed. Saving Private Ryan is a great movie with a very unique setting. It is action-filled from the start to the ending.
What do you think about this movie and its setting? Do you think that you could potentially become depressed from watching it?
I think that the movie is great, and is a must see. The director does a great job of being detailed witht the setting. It allows the viewer to have a sense as if they are in Normandy. I think that there is the potential of some people getting depressed from watching it, but for the most part I would say that people wouldn't become depressed.
ReplyDeleteI adore the movie Saving Private Ryan. As a whole, this movie is an intense, visceral treat for the senses. Supposedly, the opening scene is so realistic that war veterans that saw it in theaters had to leave. I think the setting is inextricable to the plot. The directer does a great job of making it feel real. While it's an emotionally intense movie, I don't think that someone could become depressed from it. Although, if the war vets leaving the theaters is true, it can obviously bring out some post-traumatic stress syndrome.
